About Rubu’ Qarn:
“When we give our children and youth spaces to enjoy sports, literature, and arts, we divert their energy from activities which waste their time and hinder their development, and we nurture a generation that prioritizes family and community.”
Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi
Almost 40 years ago, the cultural project initiated by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, was launched. The project’s objective is to invest in human potential by establishing centers in various suburbs across the emirate, with the aim of providing children and youth with a safe environment to pursue their interests, develop their talents, and foster connectivity.
Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, added a new chapter to this journey by establishing Rubu’ Qarn
for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators. It is the first Arab and regional organization to work closely with the community to nurture youth and create leaders. Through a variety of programs and activities covering many fields, RQ enhances the knowledge, experiences, and skills of the emirate’s youth over a 25-year journey. Hence, the name “Rubu’ Qarn,” which means a quarter-century in Arabic.
